Redeeming & accounts

Do I have to sign in to play?
No. The first time you open an app, you can skip sign-in. Without signing in or redeeming, you can play these on the mat. MotionPad Arcade: Cake Slice, Whack-a-Mole, and Fire Squad. MotionPuck: the first period of a Full Match. MotionParty: 5 Practice Mode mini-games (Chop Race; Fruit Sort; Red Light, Green Light; Pull the Turnip; and Firefly Relay). MotionSports: tennis singles against the computer. Games are played on the mat only; there's no touch-screen gameplay. You need to sign in with Google or Apple to redeem a serial code and unlock all four games, make in-app purchases, use AI credits, or send feedback. Once an account has redeemed in one app, signing in to the other three unlocks them too.
What if redemption fails?
Please check that your phone is online and that the serial code is typed correctly (codes never contain 0, O, 1, or I). If it still doesn't work, email service@genius-gh.com with proof of purchase, such as a receipt or invoice. If the app says the code has already been redeemed by another account, also include the serial code from your card. Once we've verified it, we'll void that card (revoking the license on the account that redeemed it) and send you a replacement card.
What if I lose my serial card?
If you lose a serial card that hasn't been redeemed yet, email service@genius-gh.com with proof of purchase, such as a receipt or invoice. Once we've verified it, we'll send you a replacement card.
Can I link my license to a different account?
No. Before you redeem, the screen shows the account your license will be linked to. Once linked, it can't be changed, and the license can't be transferred to another account.
What if I switch phones?
Sign in on your new phone with the same Google or Apple account, and your license comes right back. Scores are stored only on your phone, so export them in the app before you switch, then import them on your new phone.
How many phones can one account play on?
There's no device limit.
Can I play without internet?
Yes. Your license is stored on your phone and needs to re-verify online from time to time. When it's time to verify, the app just reminds you to connect. It won't delete your data. You'll need to be online the first time you redeem.
I have a mat, but my account has no license. How do I unlock the games?
Licenses are tied to the account that redeemed them. They can't be transferred and don't go with the mat. For an account without a license (for example, a family member's own account), purchase an Extra Account (Price TBA) in any of the apps to unlock all four games.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete account. Deleted licenses can't be restored. See Deleting your account for details.

Mat & phone

Steps aren't registering?
Make sure your phone is set up as the app shows (for most games, 1–3 m or 3–10 ft directly in front of the mat), the microphone isn't covered by a case or your hand, and there's no loud noise nearby. A green light should come on when you step on a sensor. If it doesn't, make sure the battery pull tabs were removed before first use, or replace the battery (see Instructions for Use).
Can I play using the touchscreen?
No. Games are played with the mat only. You can tap through the menus by hand.
Which phones are supported?
At launch, Android phones and iPhone are supported. We're still verifying the compatibility list and will post it on the mat page once it's confirmed.
How do I replace the batteries?
Each sensor uses one CR2032 3V coin cell battery. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screw on the battery cover, then slide the cover open to replace the battery. See the illustrated steps in the Instructions for Use. Battery covers should be opened by an adult using a tool, and coin cell batteries should be kept out of children's reach.

Warranty & returns

How long is the warranty?
The hardware has a 6-month warranty, excluding user-caused damage. If it fails during the warranty period, contact support with proof of purchase, such as a receipt or invoice, then send it back for inspection and we'll replace it, with shipping paid by us. Replacing the hardware doesn't affect your game licenses.
Can I return it?
If you bought online, you can request a return within 7 days of receiving your order. If the serial code hasn't been redeemed, it's simply voided. If it has, the license on that account is revoked, taking effect no later than the next online verification. Refunds for Extra Accounts and AI credits bought in the app are handled by the App Store or Google Play. See Returns & Refunds for details.

Feedback & data

How do I report a problem?
Send it through Feedback in the app. Feedback is sent along with your signed-in account so we can reply to the email address you signed in with. You can also email us directly at service@genius-gh.com.
Are my scores uploaded to the cloud?
Scores are stored only on your phone, and you can export and import them. Only when you tap Generate AI review and confirm is a stats summary of that game sent (without names), and we don't keep it. The cloud stores only the data needed for sign-in, licensing, purchases, and feedback. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Who provides the AI analysis?
There are three sources. None is selected by default; you choose one in Settings. Custom server: enter an OpenAI-compatible server by hand. Data goes straight to it, we don't handle it, and the service may charge fees. Armor EdgeAI: scan a QR code to pair Armor EdgeAI (external site, opens in a new tab) on your local network. Data goes only to your own computer. AI credits: buy credits in the app, and we'll call an AI model on your behalf, 1 credit per review. Nothing is sent until you tap Generate AI review and confirm, and with credits you'll see how many will be used first. If nothing is set up or AI isn't available, the app shows a free template report. See our Privacy Policy for how data is handled.
