Animal party

MotionParty

Split one mat four ways, and up to four people can play together.

Everyone picks an animal: Rabbit, Bear, Frog, or Chick. The 8 outer tiles of the 3×3 mat pair up, one pair per player, so up to four people can play a party of short mini-games at the same time. There are points and stars, and everyone gets a title at the end. The game never uses words like lose, fail, or out.

Setting up and stepping on the mat

Setting up

Where to step

Everyone uses just three moves: step left (yellow), step right (black), and step with both feet. For both feet, you can step on one foot at a time. No need to jump.

To start, everyone checks in by stepping with both feet. The first to check in is the captain, who runs the menus. However many people check in, that's how many play.

Games are played with your feet on the mat only. You can tap through menus and settings by hand.

Three modes

Each game starts with a how-to-play screen. It starts once everyone steps with both feet to confirm.

  • Board Game Party

Step with both feet to roll the dice and move around a forest game board. Land on a challenge space and everyone plays a mini-game, plus one more at the end of each round. Trade coins for stars. Whoever has the most stars is the Party Star. Spaces only give you things and never take anything away. Choose a short, standard, or long game: about 18, 21, or 26 minutes.

    2–4 players

  • Random Challenge

Pick 3, 5, 8, or 10 stages, then choose a difficulty and type. The game draws mini-games with no repeats. At the end, see your total score, the top score for each stage, and your titles. You can take on the same set again.

  • Practice Mode

Pick a game and difficulty yourself, and see your best score and last 10 tries for that game.

Who it's for

Family and friends get-togethers

Up to four people play at once, so no one waits in line. Co-op mini-games let the whole team score together.

Playing solo

Same games, and you play against your own last score. Co-op goals adjust to the number of players.

Older adults

Every game has an Easy level. For both-feet steps, you can step on one foot at a time. No need to jump.

Low-pressure fun

The characters are cheerful, friendly animals. Getting hit by an obstacle just makes you dizzy for a moment, and the game never uses words like lose, fail, or out.

Scores and records

Records are saved only for players who create a player profile (name, animal, age group), up to 25 per device. You can also play without a profile, but your scores won't be saved. The Records page shows active minutes this week, how many times you stepped on the tiles, your last 10 games, and a set of activity measures. You can also export a PDF or CSV.

Records stay on this device, and the last 50 games are kept; only when you generate an AI review and confirm is a stats summary sent (without names). The measures on the Records page are only a general reference for family exercise, not a medical or clinical assessment.

AI summary (optional)

After a Random Challenge, you can ask AI to write a short note for the family, and the Records page has a weekly summary. Choose an AI source in Settings (none is selected by default): AI credits bought in the app, and we'll call the model for you; Armor EdgeAI (external site, opens in a new tab) on your local network, paired by scanning a QR code; or your own OpenAI-compatible server, entered by hand. Nothing is sent until you tap Generate AI review and confirm, and names are never sent. If AI isn't set up or isn't available, the app uses built-in templates instead and doesn't go online.

What you need

MotionPad mat

The 3×3 mat from the bundle. All four games share it, so you don't need to buy another.

How the mat works, plus specs

Phone or tablet

Best on a tablet or cast to a TV. A phone works too, but the screen is smaller. The tiles are heard by the microphone on the device running the app, so keep that device near the tiles.

Google or Apple account

You can play some of the basic content without signing in. To redeem your serial code, sign in and connect to the internet. After you redeem, you can play offline.

A little space

Lay the mat on a flat, non-slip floor with a step's worth of space around it. Move furniture and anything fragile out of the way.

Unlocking, offline play, and data

Free to download

The app is free to download (coming soon). Without signing in, you can play part of this game on the mat. See the FAQ below.

Redeem once, unlock all four

Sign in to any of the apps with Google or Apple, then scan the QR code on your serial card or enter the 16-character serial code. All four games unlock at once. Pay once, no subscription.

Play offline

Your license is stored on your phone and needs to verify online from time to time. When it's time to verify, the app just reminds you to connect. It won't delete your data.

No device limit

Sign in with the same account on every phone at home. Licenses are tied to your account and can't be transferred.

FAQ

More questions: redeeming, warranty, switching phones
What can I play without signing in or redeeming?
You can play 5 Practice Mode mini-games on the mat: Chop Race; Fruit Sort; Red Light, Green Light; Pull the Turnip; and Firefly Relay. Redeem your bundle serial code to unlock everything. Games are played on the mat only; there's no touch-screen gameplay.
Can four people really play on one mat?
Yes. The 8 outer tiles of the 3×3 mat pair up, one pair per player (one yellow, one black). All four play at once, with no taking turns on the mat. Each pair can have a blank tile in the middle to stand on; without one, stand on the floor behind your pair.
Can we play with just two or three people?
Yes. However many people check in, that's how many play. Steps on a pair that hasn't checked in don't count. Board Game Party needs 2 to 4 players, and Relay Run and Seesaw Egg need 2 or more.
Can I play on a phone?
Yes, but the game is designed mainly for a tablet or TV, and a phone screen is smaller. Wherever the picture goes, the tiles are always heard by the microphone on the device running the app, so keep that device near the tiles.
How long is a Board Game Party game?
In settings, choose short, standard, or long: about 18, 21, or 26 minutes.

One bundle, all four games

The MotionPad Bundle (Price TBA) includes the 3×3 mat and a serial card. Redeem once in any of the apps to unlock all four.
